Last week, Penope Oy made the largest deal in its history in the sale of Penope house element machines. The new factory for LapWall Oyj in Pyhäntä, Finland, will be equipped with highly automated production lines for roof and wall elements. This investment will triple the production capacity of LapWall’s Pyhäntä unit. Deliveries will take place in 2025.
“The factory will include a component production line and assembly lines for wall and roof element systems. The assembly capacity of the new factory will be approximately 600,000 m² per year. The investment will significantly reduce component and assembly costs and improve material efficiency by utilizing the latest technology in the industry,” says LapWall in its press release.*
“The lines have been designed in cooperation with the client to meet challenging operational and capacity requirements. The lines are manufactured in Finland and include new innovative technical solutions to shorten lead times and improve work ergonomics,” states Heikki Laine, Sales Manager at Penope Oy.
“LapWall has chosen Penope Oy and Finnbaum Oy as their equipment suppliers. The selected partners have excellent capabilities to deliver lines that take element construction to a new level, based on a thorough comparison. Both companies have local production, making the supplier agreements regionally significant. Local contractors will also be used for earthworks and building construction. The project has a high degree of domestic content and a significant employment impact on the region,” says Kari Viljamaa, Executive Vice President, Pyhäntä business unit, in the release.
Founded in 2011, LapWall has rapidly grown to become Finland’s leading wooden element manufacturer, thanks to its wide range of products and modern wooden element factories. LapWall Oyj has factories in Pyhäntä, Pälkäne, and Veteli, with additional offices in Oulu and Vantaa. LapWall produces wall and facade elements as well as roof element systems in its factories.
We want to thank the entire LapWall project team for their trust and constructive cooperation.
